Pauline Whittaker - dog trainer and behaviourist - Worcester

I’m here for you

My experience is broad, having owned dogs from puppies, rescue dogs and dogs from abroad, I have lived in multi dog households, navigated the trials and tribulations of adolescence with many dogs. In my 25 years as a dog trainer I have trained so many different breeds and dealt with complex and difficult problems and am extremely good at finding solutions and applying my knowledge, experience and skills to your individual family’s set up and needs. I will approach your individual training needs with kindness and compassion, providing a supportive approach which will help you all to move forward.

“We feel so much more positive”

“Thank you so much Pauline, for your excellent advice. We had tried different things we had seen on the internet and were getting desperate before you came.  Now, we finally feel that we are communicating in the language that Mabel understands and it is so rewarding watching Mabel grow and work together with her on training and exercises.”

“The change in Alfie is amazing!”

“Thank you for helping me understand my dog! Before working with you, I really was despairing. Thanks to your tips and advice, Alfie is now much more relaxed at home. It’s great to be able to enjoy our walks without him pulling on the lead, or running off and never coming back. Likewise, it’s great to sit with him quietly at my feet, with us both being able to relax, rather than the erratic behaviour he was displaying before. The change and improvement in Alfie’s behaviour in a few short weeks is amazing- it’s made our relationship and our house, much happier. A lot of friends have even commented on the ‘new improved’ Alfie!”

Is One to One Training Right For You?

My 1-2-1 Training Support Sessions are great for you if the following applies:

  • You have a new puppy and want to ensure you are doing everything right and resolve any early problems before they become established.

  • You have a rescue dog from the UK or abroad and want to help them settle in, find out about their individual needs and deal with any issues that arise.

  • Your dog is struggling with socialisation and appropriate behaviours around other dogs as they progress through adolescence and you are unsure why these changes have occurred (this may include minor reactivity or nervousness; for more serious problems, a behaviour package may be needed).

  • You want to develop your handling skills and understand that dog training is often about us, as handlers, learning the right skills to support our dogs on their training journey.

  • Your dog has a specific training need which cannot be dealt with effectively in a class situation.

  • You prefer a personalised approach or your lifestyle makes attending a class difficult or maybe you would like your whole family to be involved.

Got a different need? Just get in touch to discuss what I can do to help.

“Pauline is a godsend”

I would just like to say a big ‘thank you’ for everything you have done for Roxy. We treat our dogs as very much part of the family and to have found someone like you to train our puppy has been a godsend. We did not make our choice of trainer lightly, but after the first one to one session you had with Roxy we were both happy we had made the right decision.
