Puppy Classes
Puppyhood is such a fun time with our dogs but it is so important to lay down the correct foundations, create learning opportunities and prevent problems. This sensitive time requires careful navigation: it’s important that training is integrated in fun ways which ensure that learning is optimised whilst also enjoyable.
Puppy classes will allow your puppy to:
Safely interact with other dogs of the same age
Learn to focus on you in the presence of other dogs
Follow basic cues with distractions around them
Six Week Puppy Courses
My six week puppy courses have various start dates and are run on Monday evenings in Wichenford and Monday and Wednesday daytimes in Droitwich.
Classes are always small, friendly and provide a positive learning environment.
Cost £80
They will also help you and your family to:
Learn more about your puppy’s needs
Create realistic learning expectations
Gain valuable advice about how to prevent problems.
“Choosing Pauline was the best step we took”
“I had an 8 week Labrador puppy in January who I was determined to train, and train well. Deciding on going to Pauline Whittaker was the best step. I started with a one to one visit at home to get it right from the get go. Then we did puppy classes in a village hall, followed by progression classes and outdoor recall in the park and woods and now at nearly 8 months old we are in the advanced outdoor class as Daisy is doing so well. Thank you to Pauline, for your input so far.”

Adolescent Classes
Adolescence in dogs comes with challenges, your cute little puppy has possibly become a leggy and sometimes challenging teenager and will need on-going training to ensure learning is maintained and your relationship continues to thrive at this time.
Bad habits in our adolescent dogs can easily creep in and problem prevention at this time is important. Many of the problems I see are very natural and common but do need careful navigation to be resolved rather than established. My aim at this time is to provide support along with reassurance and to ensure you know how to progress with your dog’s training whilst keeping it fun and enjoyable for you both.
Adolescent Classes will:
Help you understand the motivations for your dog’s behaviours
Provide you with information to help you guide your dog to make the right decisions
Give you a wealth of information about what to expect from your dog’s behaviour at this time
Maintain and build on your obedience foundations
Provide valuable guidance on problem solving and problem prevention
Provide a range of obedience and fun exercises to keep training fun and enjoyable for you both.

“I couldn’t have done it without Pauline”
“Bruce is turning out to be the most lovely dog I could ever have wished for. It’s been hard work but I’m just about there and this is in no small way down to you. You have been through it with me and for that I can’t thank you enough. I couldn't have done it without you and now realise the importance of ‘real’ dog training. It should be compulsory for every dog owner.”

“The course was a lot of fun”
“Getting a scent hound to come back to you was always going to be a challenge, but I really wanted to try agility training with Molly and Pauline suggested that we did the outdoor recall training first. As well as improving Molly’s recall significantly, it showed me that I can get Molly to focus on whatever task we were doing. We practised this a lot at home, too.
It’s far more than just a recall course. By the end of the course, Molly was doing the exercises off-lead and so focussed on what we were doing, that she didn’t even attempt to run off. For Molly, doing the recall training was definitely the right way to go (thanks, Pauline!) and the course was a lot of fun.”
